Degree in Linguistics, Criminal Justice, Law, Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Security Studies, or other related disciplines.
Ability to write concise clear business reports.
Interest in the area of cybercrime and cybersecurity.
Experience in data analysis.
Produce succinct and analytical intelligence reports regarding prolific cyber threats on a weekly basis.
Review and edit reports produced by other members of the intelligence team when needed.
We are looking for a part-time and/or full-time research intern for our Cyber Threat Prevention Project, for Fall 2021. This is an unpaid remote position.
The amount of cyber threats to the critical infrastructure sectors has been steadily increasing in the midst of the pandemic, as threat actors continue to exploit the stresses imposed by the global crisis. Our project is devoted to notifying over 450 subscribed customers (primarily healthcare) about the most prolific cyber threats. We are looking for an aspiring, motivated, and self-organized researcher who will engage in analyzing and producing short intelligence reports on subjects such as prolific data breaches, cyber intelligence tradecraft, fraud schemes, nation-state threats, ransomware syndicates.
Extensive training and instruction will be provided by members of our intelligence team. We emphasize an investigative mindset, the ability to write concise and clear business reports, and a high level of initiative. Prior technical skills are not required.
